Before ordering, I encourage you to read my statement of positionality

🌼 on solidarity and my positionality
Making lei has been an invaluable way of expressing creativity for me. Whenever I am asked to make lei, I feel honor and joy in being able to craft your gift for your loved one, especially during graduation season and special events. These are not just floral accessories, but gifts of intention, care, and beauty.
I grew up in Hawai’i where gifting lei has always been a deeply meaningful way to show love, celebrate milestones, and honor others. But, I am not Native Hawaiian and do not claim to be. Though I always find home in Hawai’i, I am a settler colonizer to the land as a Filipino American woman with roots that go back to plantation days. I carry deep respect for Kānaka Maoli and the practice of making lei, especially when considering the erasure of Native Hawaiians because of the commercialization of Hawai’i and Hawaiian culture.
In the spirit of humility and respect, and with a commitment to supporting Native Hawaiian sovereignty and cultural preservation, I want to be transparent about my pricing. If I could, I would give these leis out for cheap, if not for free. But, in order to keep business sustainable, the total price of a lei pays for the supplies bought to make the lei and business taxes. 50% of my net income is donated to 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to preserving Native Hawaiian cultural practices and supporting Kānaka Maoli sovereignty.
